Christopher Summerville tells us of his newly edited version of Regency Recollections: Captain Gronow's Guide to Life in London And Paris

"Although Gronow’s recollections have appeared in print many times, I’ve never seen a collection devoted solely to the Regency period before. I have also tried to make the text more accessible by arranging Gronow’s anecdotes in chronological order by theme. I have also included comments and annotations. The book is divided into four parts, covering the Peninsular War, Waterloo, Restoration Paris, and Regency London. Each section has a historical introduction, and the book includes a pen portrait of Captain Gronow. The publisher has done an excellent job of illustrating the book."
